Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend the event?

Anyone is welcome to attend and/or compete in the event, however it has been created to help answer these questions - Who are the fastest racers in each class in New England - Which NE organization has the fastest racers.

When is the event?

The event is over Labor Day weekend.  Gates will open on Friday Sept 2nd at 3pm and be open all weekend while competing Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

How is the Format?

It is a 3 Moto Format.  We will not be Running typical Qualifiers with LCQ's as we do not wish to send anyone home the first day.  Each Day we will run a Practice for all classes and a Moto for all Classes.  The Combined overall of all Three days/Three Motos will be the final Overall Finish.
For Classes with more than 40+ racers we will split the group into 2 or 3 Groups depending on the number.  Example:
Let' say On Saturday there is 60 125C riders
In the race order where 125 C Runs, there will be 125 C Group 1 with 30 and 125 C Group 2 with 30
Those Races will count for 125 C Moto 1
On Sunday those same racers in 125 C Group 1 and 125 C Group 2 will Run again where 125 C Runs in the order - Those Races will count for 125 C Moto 2
On Monday we will take the Top 20 Out of Group 1 and Group 2 = 40 into Moto 3
The placements of those 40 racers from Sat and Sunday are their finishes for Moto 1 and Moto 2
We take the overall of Moto 1, Moto 2 and Moto 3 for the overall

What places are being awarded?

30 Minutes after the Overall of all Three Motos are Final we will be awarding Top Ten.  Proceed to the Press area for presentations, Photos and interviews.  Podium for Top 3.  First place trophies are 5ft High and descend to 4ft, 3ft, 2 1/2 ft, 2ft to 1 1/2 ft.  Industry swag will also be awarded to top 10 by The New England Regional Championship Sponsors.  Amsoil, The Official oil of the New England Regional Championship will be awarding a $500 oil Sponsorship to Every Winner!

How will we know which Organization Wins?

Each racer chooses their home organization to represent in the Event, forming teams.
 Each Winner will receive 10 points, 2nd place 9, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3,
9th 2 and 10 1 point.
The Organization earning the most points (fastest racers) wins the Cup.
"The New England Regional Championship Cup"
This cup can be retained until it is up for challenge again in 2006.

Why have a New England Championship?

This area has so many racers and so many racing organizations that at the end of every season there are 7+ "Champions" in every class.  With racing so spread out and competition so great, the question was asked, Who really is the fastest, THE Champion?

Why challenge the Organizations?

It is really a chance for all of us to come together to cheer on and support our members in a healthy way.  All of the organizations are invited to attend and work the event.  You will see staff members and referees from tracks and organizations all over New England, working together for the good of the sport and the racers.

Why now?

It's time for New England to step into the Large Amateur arena.  Competition breeds greatness.  We have produced some awesome pros here in New England and events such as these only serve to encourage and prepare our young racers for the future.  It is time for New England racers to have Industry attention right here in New England, let the big show be here.

Do I have to Be a Member of any Organization or Winchester Speedpark?

No. This Event is Open to all riders.

How do I enter? (now at track only - Fri 3-9pm-Sat 6-7:30)

ENTRY FORM

Pre-entry is the best way to go as numbers are first come first serve and you are assured of making it into the event.  If mailing, they MUST be postmarked by August 20th.  Online registrations at http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1250020&customreg=blankAlso, your organization maybe taking entries the weekend before the Event, check with them at your local races.  Entry will be accepted at sign up Friday and Saturday morning.  You save $15 per class by pre-entering.

Do I need a Transponder? (now at track only)

Yes, EVERY racer needs to either have, buy or rent a transponder for this event. No sharing.

Transponders will be required at the cost of $100 initial deposit, $80 returned when transponder is returned –  Go to www.mxtransponder.com to reserve a transponder before the event using a credit card.
This can be done AT the track as well - you can choose not to return it and it is yours to keep and use.

Bear in mind that since most of the New England Organizations will be present and studying this method of scoring, and most likely implement it for the 2006 race season and beyond.

What else will be going on?

Well, we will have special guests, industry rigs, special foods and nightly activities on the Supercross side.

BBQ meals will be available for purchase for $12 - There will be food tents with tables and chairs set up on the Sx Park side late afternoon into the evening. First come first serve. Service starts at 4pm.

There will be pit bike races 7:30pm-10:30pm under the lights on the Sx Track.  Entry form Entry includes both nights of racing Saturday AND Sunday night.  Best overall of both nights wins.  Top Three Trophies awarded.  No transponders needed for pit bike racing. Frequently asked questions

Crystal Entertainment will be there to structure all of the great family games and activities planned.

We envision this event to be full of great competition by day and full of fun and family at night.

What are the Gate fees?

It will be $40 for all three days, including both parks and all activities (food purchased separately) For spectators,  under 6 are free and on Sunday the Gate fee will drop to $30 for Sun and Monday (includes both parks and all activities) and on Monday the Gate fee will drop to $10.

Why are the Gates fees higher than a normal WSP race per day?

This is not a typical event.  The fees are around $3 more per day (usually $10 a day = $30) But, this event includes parking and entrance to both parks.  It includes the Mx Park for the Championship and the Sx Park for Nightly pit bike races, family activities, Nightly DJ and fireworks on Sunday night.  The higher fee was also needed to factor in our added police, security, trash, septic and water needs for the longer event.

What are the Entry Fees, I'm confused?

It is $60 per class, that includes all three days of racing for that class as it is a 3 Moto format with Practice and 1 Moto per day.  It is NOT $60 a Day, But rather $60 a Class for the WHOLE weekend.

At Track entry is $75 per class

Are there any Practices before the event to get ready?

Yes, we will have a REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ONLY practice on Wed August 17th from 12-6pm - You MUST be pre-entered for the Regional Championship to practice that day - $25.  We will be accepting entries at the track on 8/17. (thanks to those who participated)
